Happy New Year! Welcome to 2025, my unstoppable friend! 🎉
It’s great to be back and I hope you are having an abundant and inspiring start to the year.
I’m currently coming to you from a beautiful camping spot on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, enjoying the last few moments of being closer to nature.
Before I get stuck into the full swing of work and all the exciting things I have planned, I wanted to kick off this brand new year by taking a moment to glance into the rear view mirror of 2024 and all the things we’re ready to leave behind.
Good-Bye 2024 List
For me, it’s holding onto things and not letting go that steals my joy, raging about the world around us and the battles I see that need to be fought, striving to get things “perfect”, rather than being happy with progress (and some other pesky habits). We should use our emotions to motivate us, but they don’t need to become us.
So, what about you? Is there something in your life you’re ready to say good-bye and good riddance to?
Remember: Every year, you are on a mission to make this year better than the last, and perhaps even your best year yet.
In numerology 2025 is a 9 year (2 + 0 + 2 + 5 = 9). This number is all about endings, personal growth, and helping others. It’s a year to reflect on the past, close old chapters, and focus on making positive changes in your life and the lives of those around you.
So, I hope you take a moment throughout the week to reflect, not on your To Do List but rather your Good-Bye List. In the meantime, here are 20 Swaps to Transform and Decentralise Your 2025.
Thank you for being here and for being part of this incredible community. Here’s to a year of fearless strength, endless possibilities, and unstoppable growth. I can’t wait to see what 2025 holds!!
Much love,
Sandy xxx
PS – I’d love to hear what swaps you’re making this year! Share your thoughts below – perhaps it will help to solidify things for you and will likely inspire me. ❤️
20 Swaps to Transform & Decentralise Your 2025
From the gems of 2024 to the goals for 2025, here are some of my favourite swaps to help you kickstart your year….
1. Swap Centralised Systems for Decentralised Freedom
Be it how you manage your finances, access information, or tackle your health goals —2025 is the year to decentralise and take control. Embrace alternative platforms like Substack or Patreon for more authentic content, look to nature when it comes to solving health challenges, and consider Bitcoin for financial sovereignty.
2. Swap Sleeping In for Sunrise
Start your day with the magic of sunrise. Just 10 – 15 minutes of morning light, come rain, hail or shine, will set your circadian rhythm and the 30 trillion cells inside you for optimal energy and focus. Think better metabolism, hormone production, mood and more – all by just stepping outside your front door. And yes, PJs and cups of tea are allowed – although glasses and sunnies aren’t. 😊

3. Swap Screen Light for Sunlight
Remember the morning manta “sunlight before screen light” – and this means the kids too!. Looking at your phone in the first hour of your day shocks your master clock terribly. This big dose of artificial blue light disrupts your circadian rhythms, wires your brain for distraction, and hijacks your emotions and creativity by bombarding you with emails, notifications, and social updates all before you’ve even had the chance to say “good morning world”.
4. Swap Fluorescent Office Lights for Outdoor Work Breaks
Take your meetings or work sessions outside when possible. Natural light nourishes your eyes and your mind. As for eating lunch under bright lights at your desk whilst scrolling the socials? That’s one way to wreak metabolic havoc and spike your glucose levels even more. Eating lunch outdoors, and exposing yourself to red light, has been shown to reduce glucose levels by up to 28%.
5. Swap Sunglasses for Direct Sunlight Exposure
We’ve been programmed for decades to “protect” our eyes from the sun with sunglasses, however sunglasses block the light cues that help set your circadian rhythm. Try starting your mornings without them, minimising the number of times throughout the day you automatically reach for them and letting the natural light signals enter your body. Unless you’re near water, in the snow or need them for safe driving, sunglasses ain’t so cool Maverick.
6. Swap Sunscreens for Healthy Tans
It’s time to rethink our relationship with the sun. Instead of hiding behind layers of sunscreen and sunglasses, make shade your best friend and consider building up your natural sun tolerance. Gradual exposure during safe hours boosts Vitamin D, supports your circadian rhythm, and strengthens your skin’s resilience.

7. Swap Bright Nights for Dark Nights
Putting on lights at night seems the most obvious and logical thing to do – especially if you want to see where you’re going right – however this isn’t the healthiest thing for you. At night especially, it’s time to embrace the dark. LEDs and their blue light wreaks havoc on your circadian health so opt for candles, dim lighting no higher than eye level and lighting that works with your body. Grab yourself a few healthy blue light free light bulbs, lamps and booklights and you’ll be #winning 2025 before you know it.
8. Swap Gyms for Exercising Outdoors
It’s time to ditch the treadmill and stepper and take your workouts to the backyard, park or beach. Swap exercising indoors under harmful LED blue lights for fresh air and full spectrum sunlight. Being outdoors and movement are a winning combo for your mind, body, and soul.
Pro Tip: Extra bonus points given if you’re able to do some of your workout barefoot and grounded on the earth.

9. Swap Low-Fat Diets for Real Fats
Butter, ghee, and tallow—oh my! Natural, unprocessed fats are nourishing and essential for brain and hormone health. It’s time to ditch the “no-fat”, “low-fat” labels and get healthy fat friendly. And yes, that means saturated fats too!

10. Swap Plant Proteins for Animal Proteins
Diets are a very personal topic and we’ve touched on this before. All my research last year showed that incorporating more ethically sourced animal proteins can really supercharge your brain and overall health – and yes, numerous studies have also shown this. If you’ve reduced your animal-based foods due to pretty looking, corporate sponsored food pyramids and climate change enthusiasts, it’s time to do more research and question whether this is really the best thing for you.
11. Swap Food Pyramids for Ancestral Diets
Once considered a nutritional North Star, food pyramids have been the basis of nutritional advice within schools, universities and dieticians and doctor’s offices worldwide for decades. These pretty diagrams were heavily influenced by major food corporates (think Kelloggs and Sanitarium) and government agendas – not necessarily your health. On the other hand, ancestral diets are aligned to how we were created and have evolved. Organic, local and seasonal is what I would consider best practice and a great way to get started.
12. Swap Microwaves for Cast Iron and Stovetops
If you still use a microwave, it’s time to ditch the super high non-EMF emitting device and embrace slower cooking methods that preserve the integrity and nutrients of your meals. Microwave popcorn may be appealing, but irradiating you and your food isn’t.
13. Swap Supermarkets for Independent Grocers & Local Farmers’ Markets
Major supermarkets are a centralised machine. Inequitable terms for farmers and suppliers, fixed pricing and mega profits are just the tip of the evil supermarket ice-berg. Support decentralised food systems by sourcing your groceries directly from local independent grocers and farmers. Think organic stores, butchers, your friendly fruit and veg shop. Enjoy a happier environment, a friendly smile from staff and forget worrying about being under surveillance as you check yourself out. Plus, it’s healthier for you and the planet.
Pro Tip: If you want to take it even further, become the ultimate decentralised food warrior by growing as much as you can at home. Every herb, fruit or veggie you grow, every egg that gets laid is a big tick for your self-sovereignty.

14. Swap Savings Accounts for HODL’ing
Did you know that the Aussie dollar fell 9.1% against the US Dollar in 2024? If you’re tired of inflation and rising costs, don’t let governments continuously printing more money erode your wealth. 2025 is the year to become a Bitcoin boss and HODL’r (HODL = Hold On for Dear Life). Consider swapping some traditional savings for Bitcoin. You’ll be opening a door to financial independence, freedom and if all goes well, a very, very, nice dose of prosperity too.
(Friendly disclaimer – this does not constitute financial advice so please do your own independent research).

15. Swap Compliance for Defiance
Question everything. From wellness trends to mainstream narratives to government mandates, critical thinking is your superpower. 2025 is about stepping into your warrior mindset, becoming the CEO of you and ditching the propaganda pushed by governments, media, and giant corporations.
You comply because you want it to end, but because you comply it never ends.
16. Swap Mainstream Media for Independent Voices
Legacy mainstream media – your days are numbered! If you’re looking for the truth, full story and uncensored information, you’re not going to find it on the 6 o’clock evening news or in the daily newspapers. The rise of the citizen journalist is upon us. Platforms like X (formerly Twitter), Substack, and Patreon are overflowing with the latest information, powerful perspectives and incredible insights you won’t see on your TV.
17. Swap Treatment for Prevention
Our centralised healthcare system is sadly incentivised by one thing; money. Doctors writing prescriptions for drugs and ordering diagnostic tests help line the pockets of big corporations. On the other hand, there is very little financial gain to be found in the prevention of diseases. Rather than waiting for problems to arise, focus on optimising your health daily. Morning light, grounding, a good night’s sleep and real foods are all part of the Unstoppables prevention toolkit.
18. Swap Feeling Helpless for Being a Warrior
It’s time to swap self-doubt for courage. The state of the world within us and around us can become very overwhelming so whether you’re facing a health challenge or chasing your dreams, remember you are unstoppable. You have more power than you think so find your tribe, connect with your soul community and surround yourself with people that fuel your fire, not put it out.
19. Swap Being Comfortable for Being Uncomfortable
Just as muscles need tension to grow, we too need to push ourselves beyond our comfort zone to build resilience, our immune system and mental strength.
Embracing the cold is a great way of doing this. Cold showers, wearing lighter clothes as you head outside for a walk, keeping your window open when you’re driving or layering clothing instead of blasting the heater on are all great options.
But being uncomfortable doesn’t just have to be about temperature. Don’t be afraid to embark on a new project, have a difficult conversation or create a habit that requires you to dig deep. You’ve got this!
20. Swap Not Believing for Having Faith in God
Many people are suffering church hurt due to the terrible things people and churches have done in the name of religion – no wonder so many have turned away. These actions aren’t a reflection of God, but rather are a reflection of the people within these groups. If you’re not there already, 2025 is the year to have faith and trust in something greater than yourself. Embrace a relationship directly with God, whatever that means to you. Faith is a powerful anchor in challenging times.
As we step into this new year together, I invite you to reflect – what swaps will you make in 2025. Imagine the possibilities if we all embraced small, meaningful changes and who and where we will be in 12 months’ time from now.
