Must Have Books
There are obviously too many good books that I’ve read over the years to list them all here and obviously as we grow, so does our appreciation for a certain book. The book that rocked our world at 25, suddenly at 53, seems a little blah and we wonder what all the fuss was about. And there we seen again just how magical books are. Always there to enthral us, no matter what stage of life we are at.
The Wim Hof Method by Wim Hof
The Ultimate Guide to Red Light Therapy by Ari Whitten
Why We Sleep by Matthew Walker
Who knew that a good night’s shut-eye could make us smarter, more attractive, slimmer, happier, healthier and ward off cancer and other diseases? Well, now we do, so it’s time to put getting a good sleep high on the priority list. Sleep is one of the most important pillars to health and longevity and this book is a great eye opener to how powerful sleep is.
Just Breathe by Dan Brule
Every Breath We Take by Rose Elliot
The Art of Living by Thich Nhat Hanh
Tools of Titans by Tim Ferriss
I challenge anyone to not find at least 20 things in this book that improves their life! And how many books can you say that about? This book is a gift to yourself. A library of tips, tools, tricks, strategies, secrets and solutions from the greatest minds in the word, this is a book you’ll be coming back to for a very long time to come. Covering health, wealth and wisdom in easy to read bite sized chunks, I loved, loved loved this book. But just one warning – don’t go lending it out as you may not get it back again. Just saying!!
The Mitochondriac Manifesto by R D Lee
Human life is said to be made up of three things; light, water and magnetism. It’s a complex concept to comprehend I know, but more and more data is showing that our mitochondria lies at the centre of all this and good health. If we can optimise our mitochondria, if we can improve our circadian health and if we can learn a little more about quantum biology we can become unstoppable. This book is a great introduction to the power of our mitochondria and the lifestyle choices we can make to protect it.
Life Force by Tony Robbins
You don’t have to be a Tony Robbins’ fan to read this book. In fact, you’d be doing yourself and those you love, a great disservice if you write this book off just because of that. This is a great eye opening book! Tony doesn’t hold back on the downfalls of our current health care and medical system. He provides a tonne of information and the latest research along with answers and tools. The contents of this book is something everyone should know.
Being Seen by Professor Selena Bartlett
Parenting at any age is a massive challenge but in the digital age, we have our work cut out of us even more!! In addition to helping our kids develop into kind, healthy and happy adults who can navigate this crazy world of ours, we now have to to help our kids navigate the world of digital devices, social media and the constant pressures and messages they are being bombarded with. This is a great book for all parents on how to try and master parenting in the digital age. And hands down to Professor Selena Barlett for taking on this challenge.
Books are an incredible gift and reading everyday is something that I strive to do. I hope you enjoy some of my favourite books that I’ve mentioned above but more importantly, I hope you find some time in your day to read and enjoy learning new things too.
