Hello beautiful Unstoppable Family,

Here is your weekly dose of what I’m doing, what I’ve learnt and things to explore. I hope you enjoy and please feel free to share with family and friends.

Also, you may want to read this before you do and do your next shop. It contains a bunch of the best foods you can eat for your brain and health.

Much love, stay strong and be unstoppable!

PS – Have you checked out my Must Haves page as yet? It contains the much loved products and brands that I use and actually work.

1 THING I’M DOING

SAYING NO, MORE OFTEN
This is not always an easy one, especially for someone like me, who genuinely likes to help when I can, doesn’t want to let people down or offend anyone. I’ve recently been applying the “Hell yeah or nah” principal coined by Derek Sivers. When you get an invite, offer or something similar, (especially if you’re feeling time poor), if you don’t get that “Hell yeah” punch the air feeling, than perhaps a polite “no thank you” is the way to go.

2 THINGS I’VE LEARNT

THE “NOT” TO DO LIST
We all have the never-ending To Do List but sometimes, it’s even more helpful to have the NOT To Do List. Don’t stay up past 10pm on school nights, no alcohol 4 nights a week, don’t read The Age or Herald Sun and no social media before middy. Whatever your Not To Do List may look like, it’s worth thinking about.

BRAIN FOOD
Just like our body benefits from good, nutritious food, so does our brain. Here are the top 10 foods you should include in your diet to give your brain some love.
– Blueberries
– Avocado
– Eggs
– Dark Chocolate
– Green Tea
– Oily Fish (Salmon, Sardines)
– Nuts – especially walnuts
– Broccoli
– Coconut Oil
– Green Tea

3 THINGS TO EXPLORE

THE 5 GIVENS IN LIFE
Life it tough! Whilst we can’t always avoid the pain challenges and set backs, we can reduce the suffering by how we deal with these situations. David Richo’s 5 Givens are straight to the point and have no sugar coating. I also think if we remembered these during the tough times, they may provide some comfort.

1. Everything ends and changes. 2. Things do not always go according to plan. 3. Life is not fair. 4. Pain is part of life. 5. People are not loving and loyal all the time. Don’t you feel better now :-)

ADAPTOGENS
Adaptogens aren’t just funny mushroom drinks. They can also be behavioural and things we do as anything that reduces cortisol levels and our stress, can be considered an adaptogen. To learn more, check out Andrew Huberman’s podcast Huberman Lab and AMA #3 from 13 January.
